• STILL LOUD: 50 Years of Punk

    Application Form
  • To ensure a smooth and equitable selection process, please review the following rules before submitting your application:

    1. Eligibility: Applicants must be 16 years of age or older by the application deadline.

    2. Availability: Selected artists must be available for at least 40 hours between 9am and 5pm, Monday 23 February to Sunday 21 March 2026, with flexibility to adjust times as needed.

    3. Medium Requirements: All work must be executed using non-permanent materials and water-based paints. Artists must agree not to use any materials that could cause permanent or structural damage to the gallery walls.

    4. Originality: Submitted concepts must be the applicant’s own original work.

    5. Artistic Development: The development and creation of the artwork must occur within the allocated 40 hours in the gallery. Applicants are submitting a proposal for a concept/idea, not a finished design to be copied onto the wall.

    6. Submission Format: Proposals must clearly outline the concept, inspiration, and execution plan. Applications without clear proposals will not be selected.

    7. Professional Conduct: Artists are expected to work collaboratively with the gallery team and fellow participants, adhering to safety guidelines and respecting the space.

    8. Selection Process: The selection will be made by Jersey Arts Centre’s Exhibitions Sub-Committee. 4 to 5 artists will be selected. Selection will be based on artistic merit, originality, and alignment with the theme. The decision of the selection committee is final.

    9. Responsibility:

    • Artists are responsible for cleaning their workspace after completing their section.
    • Artists are responsible for documenting their work if they wish to keep a record, as all artwork will be painted over at the end of the exhibition.

    10. Participation Details:

    • Each of the selected artists will receive a fee of £700.
    • Refreshments (non-alcoholic) and lunch will be provided on their working days.

    11. Exhibition Rights: By applying, artists grant the gallery the right to document and promote their work in exhibition-related materials and media.

    12. Deadline: All applications must be submitted by 5pm Monday 5 February 2026.
