New Mexico Escrow Solutions and the Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS® have created a $1,000 scholarship fund for new GAAR REALTOR® members who have a family member already belonging to GAAR. Each sponsoring company will choose one GAAR member to receive the scholarship funds.
To be considered, a recipient must be a relative of a GAAR REALTOR® Member and
meet all eligibility criteria. If chosen, the applicant will receive $1,000 to help them
defray the cost of their initial GAAR and SWMLS Membership fees.
The chosen Scholarship winner(s) will be announced at the Annual GAAR Awards Gala on Friday, March 6th, 2026, to be held at the Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North.
GAAR Family Member Scholarship Criteria:
1. Must be a relative of a GAAR REALTOR® Member
2. Must be a first-time REALTOR® Member
3. Must have a New Mexico Real Estate license issued between February 1, 2024 - February 1, 2025
4. Must have joined GAAR (as a primary association) and SWMLS between February 1, 2024 - February 1, 2025
5. Nominees must submit an essay on “Why I became a REALTOR®"
Deadline to submit the Nomination AND Essay is Friday, February 13th (no later than 5:00 p.m.)
