We are honored and excited to be a part of your journey towards better vision. We understand that there are times where events may preclude you from attending your scheduled appointment. Our cancellation policies have been crafted with this in mind to ensure we can remain as flexible as possible with our patients and their families while also having the maximum scheduling availability to suit all scheduling needs. Please review our policy in full below.
VISION THERAPY SESSIONS AND PROGRESS EVALUATIONS
Any vision therapy session or progress evaluation cancelled or rescheduled with fewer than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the $50 cancellation fee. This is a strict policy with no exceptions made. In addition, we will release any recurring session after 3 consecutive weeks of no shows and/or cancellations. Should something come up that would preclude you from coming into the office, we are happy to change the patients’ session to a virtual telehealth session at no additional cost (if a virtual provider is available), so that you may keep your same appointment time and avoid the fee. Our office has pioneered the format and programming of virtual vision therapy sessions over the past 16 years and we have provided patients with very successful and effective appointments and programs in this way. Any appointments cancelled because of our office (holiday closures, therapist out of office) will not have a fee applied.
FINANCIAL POLICY
Our office requires payment in full at the time of or in advance of any services rendered. It is the patient or parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure they are aware of full costs of treatment in advance, and to render payment for any services completed. Our team will make every effort to ensure we have provided you with this information. Patients will be required to keep a valid credit card authorization on file. Our office accepts all major credit and debit cards, CareCredit, cash, and check. Please note there is a $35 fee for returned checks in addition to the cost of the service. If your check is returned, the card on file will be charged if one is on file, otherwise we will contact you for another form of payment. If a check is returned, you will need to use another form of payment for any future appointment.
