COMMUNITY MUSICAL AUDITION APPLICATION FORM

16+ & ADULT'S APPLICATION (2025-26)
PERFORMANCES: 5th to 8th August 2026 at The Festival Theatre, Malvern Theatres
PROJECT INFORMATION

This application is to apply to take part in Our Star Theatre Company's production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC at Malvern Theatres.

Participants must have very good availability for rehearsals (from late April to early August) and MUST be available for all Dress, Tech and Performance dates.

Please note, all rehearsals will take place three times a week in Ledbury, HR8, NOT in Malvern.

All Dress, Tech and Performances will take place in the Festival Theatre, Malvern Theatres.

Important Dates:

Rehearsals - Sunday 26th April to Saturday 1st August 2026

Performances - Wednesday 5th - Saturday 8th August 2026

Evenings at 7pm, Saturday Matinee at 2pm (5 performances total)

Participation Fee = £60

The above participation fee is to cover costs such as costume, props and insurance. We have tried to keep the cost as affordable as possible.

If paying a fee is prohibitive, please get in touch - we wouldn't want anyone to feel unable to take-part due to a cost barrier. All discussions will be held in the strictest of confidence.
ACCESS & AUDITIONS

Participants are recruited on the basis of their abilities and potential, and we welcome enquires and applications from all; whether you have learning difficulties, mobility problems, a physical or sensory disability, mental health condition, or a long-term health condition, we want you to feel that you have the support you need to audition.

AUDITION INFORMATION

Audition date: Sunday 1st February 2026
Check-in: from 1:45pm for prompt 2:15pm start
Audition Times: Group session 2:15pm - 3:45pm followed by
Individual slots (allocated after applying) between 3:45pm - 9pm

at Studio One, Malvern Theatres, Grange Road, Malvern WR14 3HB

Once we receive your application, we shall contact you to confirm your audition slot and to provide the audition materials.

Any auditionee wishing to audition for a named role will need to indicate this in the tick box in the next page. Any individual wishing to audition for a named role will also be given an individual slot time to perform a prepared piece between 3:45pm-9pm. All details are included in the Audition Pack.
