  • Directs and implements product program strategies and procedures. Serves as support to Troop Product Managers by working closely with Council Product Program Staff.
  • Appointed by the Service Unit Manager and Product Program Staff.
    • Must be a registered, background checked adult member of Girl Scouts of Western NY with the Service Unit Fall Product Program Manager role assigned.
    • Has a clear understanding of the responsibilities of the Service Unit Product Program Manager position.
    • Express enthusiasm and a positive attitude in working with Girl Scouts, families, and volunteers.
    • Has access to the internet and a working computer.
    • Has the commitment and the time needed to perform this position.
    • Has ability and willingness to make decisions and keep accurate records.
    • Attends the required Council Service Unit Cookie Product Program Manager training.
    • Ensure accurate troop data in software system (troop contact information, product and recognition orders, etc.)
    • Schedule and conduct training for all Troop Cookie Managers within your Service Unit ensuring every troop has a manager trained in all aspects of the Girl Scout Cookie Program.
    • Collect and retain signed Troop Cookie Manager Agreements from each participating troop.
    • Distributes Girl Scout Cookie Program materials to Troop Cookie Managers.
    • Be readily accessible to Troop Cookie Managers to offer support and communicate with Council staff is any problems arise.
    • Strictly adhere to program timeline and meet deadlines.
    • Promote Troop participation, excitement, and positivity.
    • Make arrangements for cookie recognitions delivery location, pick up of council recognitions from your local council office, and distribution of all recognitions and rewards to Troop Cookie Managers in a timely manner.
    • Complete Service Unit end of sale reconciliation and provide Council Product Program Staff with all necessary documents including any delinquency/nsf/troop refund forms by program deadlines.
    • All communication must be positive and follow the Girl Scout Law and Promise. This includes social media posts, email, text messages, phone conversations and any in person meetings.
