You must either be a member of the OBRA or run on a permit. The rider can only ride 1 horse in Rookie Barrels.

If the horse/rider combination runs within 1 second off of the fastest 4-D Open time for the weekend, the rider is no longer able to compete in the Rookie Barrel Class. Also, if a rider runs within 1.5 seconds of the fastest 4-D Open time for the weekend for 3 runs they will no longer be able to compete in the Rookie Barrel Class.
