• Freddie Rose's writing

  • Hi, thank you so much for being here! I am blown away by the interest in my writing and am still early into developing how to distribute it. Writing donations directly support for my unpaid organizing so I really appreciate them.

The Creek and the People She Loves: It's 2125 in the Creek Neighborhood. The sun is shining, the drought is long, and neighbors are organizing to take over the final fascist compound in the area. This day-in-the-life tale is a curious conversation with our relationships to the future. What happens when people believe that the world we long for is not only possible, but well within our capacity -- and responsibility -- to create?

Cultivating Our Political Gardens: Politicization and Protagonization: This 50-page zine is a collection of advice and frameworks that I wish I'd had over a decade ago when I started my political journey. I explore common phases of coming into both political consciousness (politicization) and a sense of capacity and responsibility to shape the world (protagonization), and places people often get stuck -- and energized! -- in both.

I imagine that I might be slow to fill orders while I get my ducks in a row, so thank you for your patience. If you have an important timeline, please email me at freddierose@protonmail.com. :)

  • Duluth pick-up or drop-off

If you already know where I live and have been there before, you are welcome to do a pick-up in my mailbox. This is by far the quickest way to get a book. If you don't already know where I live or haven't come over before, I would love to drop books off wherever you want in town.
  • Sliding scale information

I live off of $16-18k/year and spend as much time as possible doing unpaid social movement work. Donations for my books helps increase my capacity for unpaid work so I really appreciate your support! I always offer sliding scales and I simply trust people to donate the highest amount that they can. The lower end of the sliding scale is the price of printing, and is intended for people who are struggling to meet their basic needs. If you have any flexible income or savings, I recommend the higher end of the sliding scale. Thanks so much. :)
  • Shipments outside of Duluth

  • Thank you so much for your interest in my writing! Ugh, I'm sorry to have to put a $40 minimum donation on shipments, it's just the only way I can afford the time to make it happen. What friends have done is order more copies than they want and then distribute them to their people. Please feel more than welcome to sell them, too!

If you are interested in distributing larger numbers of books but can't afford to front the money, email me at freddierose@protonmail.com or message me on Signal and we can totally figure something out.
