The "Individual Rookie Questionnaire" must be submitted and received by Thursday, January 29th, 2026 by 5:00 p.m. Nominations and Questionnaires received after that date will not be eligible for consideration.
Award winners will be announced at the Annual GAAR Awards Gala on Friday, March 6th, 2026, to be held at the Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North.
Nomination Category: Rookie of the Year
The Nominating Committee will follow up with vetted Nominees to schedule interviews between February 2th - 10th, 2026.
Qualifications:
- As of December 31, 2025, nominees must have been licensed with the New Mexico Real Estate Commission and a member of GAAR for no more than 18 months and no less than 6 months. Therefore, nominees must have been licensed between July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025.
- Nominees must be currently licensed, actively practicing, and in good standing with GAAR, NMAR, and NAR.
- Nominees may not have been a builder’s salesperson before licensing.
- Individual Rookie of the Year is an individual award based on the following criteria.
Criteria to be Considered:
1. The individual's production from January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025 must be documented and signed off by the Nominee’s Qualifying Broker.
2. Service to the real estate community through involvement with GAAR, SWMLS, NMAR, or NAR.
3. Service to the Greater Albuquerque community.
4. Professionalism and business acumen; encompassing ethics, public behavior, listing presentation, marketing materials, and interaction with other REALTORS®.
5. Educational achievements; including formal education, continuing education, and designations.
