When using an FRT without RSO supervision, and unless the firearm is hard mounted to a tripod in such a way as to prevent any changes to elevation, you must:
- Adhere to a 50-yard maximum distance from the berm when firing from the bench or prone position. When prone, ALWAYS be cognitive of any muzzle elevation in relation to the target which, when combined with muzzle rise, could send rounds over the berm.
- Adhere to a 25-yard maximum distance from the berm when firing from a standing or kneeling position.
- As a reminder, shooting club-owned steel targets and fixed target frames with an FRT is prohibited (regardless of distance).
Please be cognitive of other shooters that may be close proximity to you. FRTs are by nature noisier than a factory trigger so, within reason, try to keep some open space between you and your fellow shooters.
