When using an Forced Reset Trigger ("FRT") without RSO supervision, and unless the firearm is hard mounted to a tripod in such a way as to prevent any changes to elevation, you must:
- Adhere to a 25-yard maximum distance from the berm when firing a rifle equiped FRT from the bench or prone position. The rifle must be firmly gripped with both hands to prevent unintended muzzle lift.
- When prone, ALWAYS be cognitive of any muzzle elevation in relation to the target which, when combined with muzzle rise, could send rounds over the berm.
- Adhere to a 15-yard maximum distance from the berm when firing from a standing or kneeling position.
- Regardless of firing position, all FRT equiped handgun fire is limited to a 15-yard maximum distance from the berm and requires the handgun be gripped with both hands.
- As a reminder, shooting club-owned steel targets with an FRT is prohibited (regardless of distance).
Please be cognitive of other shooters that may be close proximity to you. FRTs are by nature noisier than a factory trigger so, within reason, try to keep some open space between you and your fellow shooters.
