When using a Forced Reset Trigger ("FRT") without RSO supervision, and unless the firearm is hard mounted to a tripod in such a way as to prevent any changes to elevation, you must:
- Adhere to a 25-yard maximum distance from the berm when firing an FRT-equipped rifle from the bench or prone position. The rifle must be firmly gripped with both hands to prevent unintended muzzle lift.
- When prone, ALWAYS be cognizant of any muzzle elevation in relation to the target which, when combined with muzzle rise, could send rounds over the berm.
- Adhere to a 15-yard maximum distance from the berm when firing from a standing or kneeling position.
- Regardless of firing position, all FRT-equiped handgun fire is limited to a 15-yard maximum distance from the berm and requires the handgun be gripped with both hands.
- As a reminder, shooting club-owned steel targets with an FRT is prohibited (regardless of distance).
Please be cognizant of other shooters that may be in close proximity to you. FRTs are by nature noisier than a factory trigger so, within reason, try to keep some open space between you and your fellow shooters.
