  • Thank you for participating in the Imperial College Robotics Forum-Amazon PhD Prizes for Outstanding Achievement in Robotics.

    Please complete sections A, B and C.

    9 students will be shortlisted, 3 for each PhD stage. If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to an awards ceremony, where you will have the opportunity to present your work (demos are highly encouraged) to a selection panel composed of Amazon and Robotics Forum representatives for a chance to win £2,000 (winners) or £1,000 (runners-up).

    Shortlisted candidates will be asked to prepare a 2-3 minute video which we will use to promote you and your work.

  • Eligibility

  • PhD students must be enrolled at Imperial College London and be pursuing research in any area of robotics and belong to one of the Imperial Robotics Forum research groups. If you do not see your group listed but would like to apply, please contact us at robotics-forum-ops@imperial.ac.uk. Applications are welcomed from first-year to final-year PhD students who fulfil the following requirements: 

    • Early-stage: 0 - 1.5 years into PhD
    • Mid-stage: Between 1.5 - 3 years into PhD. 
    • Late-stage: 3+ years since beginning of PhD. (Note that the Late-stage also includes students who have passed their viva/those who will soon graduate.)

    These time periods exclude any interruption of studies.

    Note that you are not eligible to apply if you won 1st place for any of the stages in previous editions of the competition. Runners up are welcome to re-apply.
