OVERVIEW
The City of Dallas City Manager’s Office is seeking Dallas-based artists to participate in a special exhibition in honor of Black History Month. Selected works will hang in the Dallas City Hall lobby, 1500 Marilla Street, Dallas, TX 75201.
CENTRAL THEME
This exhibition invites artists to celebrate and reflect upon the legacy, contributions, and cultural richness of Black history in Dallas and beyond. Artists are encouraged to explore themes of heritage, resilience, identity, community, and the ongoing impact of Black leaders, creators, and changemakers. Through diverse artistic perspectives, this exhibition aims to honor the past, illuminate the present, and inspire the future.
TIMELINE
Artwork submission period: December 22, 2025 – January 9, 2026 by 5:00 PM
Artist notifications: January 16, 2026
Artwork drop-off: January 19–20, 2026 (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
