Regardless of whether you are a trainee or a junior or senior faculty member, we strongly encourage you to attend.

The workshop will be conducted by John Robertson, PhD, Grant Writers’ Seminars and Workshops, LLC. Topics covered will include:

    (1) Critical steps for organizing and planning your NIH proposal (all of the things you need to do before you start writing a full proposal in order to have a competitive edge)

    (2) Understanding the role (and mindset) of your reviewers

    (3) Our 4-paragraph rhetorical strategy for writing a compelling Specific Aims page

    (4) Specific strategies and tips for each major remaining section of an NIH grant proposal

Please note there is a $100 non-refundable fee per attendee which helps cover part of the cost of the program workbook and meals. The $100 fee is payable by Penn budget code only and will be covered by your sponsoring department. All other costs, including the instructor’s fee, are covered by LDI, CICADA, and MEHP as hosts of this event.

We have a limited number of seats available, which will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please register as soon as possible to maximize your chance of securing a place. The deadline for registration is Friday, January 23.
