Applicant Eligibility

-You or your parents must be an Active member(s) in Hamilton County Farm
Bureau on or before March 30th.

-You must have or will have obtained the ranking of High School Senior or College
Freshman status at the time the scholarship is awarded.

Scholarship Rules and Regulations

-Scholarship will be awarded to the recipient upon the receipt of a grade card/paid
receipt from a college or trade school of applicant’s choice.

-This scholarship will be awarded to an individual only once, however an individual
can apply both years of eligibility.

-There may be only one scholarship awarded each year to a qualified applicant.
Applicants may be subject to an interview. Inability to attend the interviews will
deem the applicant ineligible for the scholarship.

-Transcript: Applicant must provide a High School, Technical School, College or University transcript

-Letter of Recommendation:

Applicants must obtain a letter of reference from an adult leader, mentor, and/or educator that describes the applicant's academic, community service and/or leadership experiences.
Letters may not be written by the applicant, anyone under 21 years of age, or anyone related to the applicant or serving as a legal guardian.
Contact information (at least one phone number) should be included for each reference.
Please note that letters of recommendation must be dated within the past six (6) months and can not be reused if you have previously applied for this scholarship.

-Essay: Please familiarize yourself with Farm Bueau's mission and work as an organization. Write an essay about topics such as who Farm Bureau is as an organization, what is at the core of our mission, etc. You may find information resources from our website (www.ofbf.org) or by contacting a current Hamilton County Farm Bureau Board Member.

-Interview: You may be contacted for a personal interview.
