    WEEKLY SUMMER CAMP THEMES

    Week 1 - June 22 - June 26
    Gnome Homes and Fairy Rings

Gnome Homes & Fairy Rings Camp is a light-filled, nature-rich summer gathering where children’s days are shaped by movement, imagination, and the simple joys of being outdoors. Inspired by the hidden worlds beneath roots and within circles of grass, this camp invites children into a realm of tiny homes, forest helpers, and quiet magic, honoring the wonder of early childhood through rhythm, beauty, and meaningful play. Woven gently throughout the week is the spirit of fairy rings and gnome homes, where children build small dwellings from natural treasures, create tiny worlds, and step into imaginative stories that live close to the earth.
Each morning begins with lively activity on the playground, giving children space to strengthen their growing bodies. As the day unfolds, we wander beyond into the forest and meadow, discovering shady paths, open fields, and peaceful nooks where imaginations naturally blossom. Children build, collect, invent, and immerse themselves in long stretches of self-directed outdoor play, often gathering sticks, moss, bark, and stones to create homes for gnomes and spaces for fairies to gather.

Handwork and creative activities such as watercolor painting, nature crafts, and small handwork projects invite focus and satisfaction, while songs, circle games, and seasonal verses bring warmth and connection. Gentle stories of forest gnomes, hidden doorways, and fairy circles nurture inner imagery and a sense of quiet enchantment.

Moments of water play, quiet rest in the shade, and peaceful pauses in the grass help create a natural balance between active exploration and calm restoration. Practical tasks, tidying, helping prepare food, caring for our space, encourage responsibility and a feeling of belonging within the group.
