• HJHS/HFA Medieval Times Field Trip Waiver and Medical Authorization

    Field Trip Details
  • Seventh grade students from Heritage Junior High School and Heritage Flex Academy are invited to attend our annual Medieval Times field trip on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. The cost of the field trip is $40 per person, which includes transportation via charter bus, lunch, and the show. Permission slips and payment must be made online no later than Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Due to payment deadlines with the venue, we cannot add reservations after the deadline.

    • We will board buses soon after school begins at 8:05 a.m. and are expected to return at approximately 3:30 p.m.
    • Students are expected to wear their school uniform polo but may wear jeans adhering to our school free dress policy. Students may need a light sweater/jacket.
    • Students should not bring any backpacks/bags. Any bags that are brought to school will be left in their classroom and not available until the next school day. A small clutch or fanny pack may be brought with necessary feminine hygiene items. Refillable water bottles are recommended.
    • Students should not bring cell phones on the trip. If they do, phones must remain in their pocket at all times. The school will send out an email with an ETA of the student's arrival back on campus.  
    • Students are allowed to bring money to shop in the gift shop, but we ask that they use their best discretion when making purchases and be reminded that this is a school event.
    • Please remind your student that no candy or gum is allowed at any time.
    • Personal cameras are allowed to be used during the field trip but no flash photography is allowed at the venue. 
    • All personal items brought or purchased on the field trip are the student’s responsibility. Any lost or damaged items are not the responsibility of the school or venue. 
    • Parents of students with respiratory conditions, allergies, or asthma should be aware that Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament is a live horse show in an enclosed area. Please contact the office if you have concerns.
    • The show uses stroboscopic and pyrotechnic effects.
    • There are no refunds for students who do not attend on the day of the field trip.

    I hereby give my permission for my child to participate in a field trip to Medieval Times Lunch & Tournament. Located at: 7662 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90620.

    I fully understand that my child is to abide by all rules and regulations governing conduct during the field trip. It is understood that any child determined to be in violation of these behavior standards may be sent home at the parent or guardians’ expense. I understand and acknowledge that consenting to allow my child to participate in this field trip, I shall, by law be deemed to have given up all claims against American Heritage Charter Schools and each of its officers, employees and agents (hereinafter referred to as AHCS) for any injury, accident, illness or death occurring during or by reason of the field trip. I also agree to relieve AHCS of responsibility for damage to or loss of my child’s property during or by reason of the field trip. In the event of any illness or injury, I hereby consent to whatever x-ray, examination, anesthetic, medical, dental or surgical diagnosis or treatment and hospital care from a licensed physician and/or surgeon as deemed necessary for the safety and welfare of my child. It is understood that the resulting expenses will be the responsibility of the parent(s), guardian(s), or participant. Whenever possible, attempts will be made to contact the parent/guardian prior to any medical action.
