⚠️ MANDATORY LEGAL NOTICE — CALIFORNIA AB 1263
California law requires firearm industry members to provide the following notice prior to selling or delivering any firearm accessory, firearm barrel, or any firearm-related part covered by AB 1263.
Pursuant to the California Penal Code, it is generally a crime in California to engage in any of the following conduct without a valid license to manufacture a firearm:
1. Manufacturing more than three (3) firearms per calendar year in California.
2. Manufacturing a firearm using a 3D printer or a CNC milling machine.
3. Manufacturing a firearm for the purpose of selling or transferring ownership to anyone who is not a licensed firearms manufacturer.
4. Manufacturing a firearm for the purpose of selling, loaning, or transferring that firearm with intent to complete the sale, loan, or transfer without a required background check inititated by a licensed firearms dealer.
5. Allowing, aiding, assisting, abetting or facilitating a person prohibited from owning firearms in the manufacture of a firearm.
6. Manufacturing any of the following prohibited weapons or devices:
• Assault weapons
• Machineguns
• Large-capacity magazines or conversion kits
• Undetectable firearms
• Unserialized or unmarked firearms or receivers
• Unsafe handguns (not on the CA DOJ roster)
• Short-barreled rifles or short-barreled shotguns
• Zip guns
• Any other “generally prohibited weapon” under California law
