Take your wheel throwing to the next level! Join Ashley Cluver for a short demo on how to add height to your pots.

In this demo and lecture, Ashley will show how you can add height to your pots and create dynamic shapes with ease using sectional and coil and throwing techniques. As she demos these techniques on the wheel, she'll go over tips on securely attaching the clay, how to keep the clay wet enough to be workable but dry enough to keep its structure, avoid cracks, how to avoid overworking the clay, and more!

This class is recommended for intermediate/advanced students but open to all ages.

Suggested for students ages 15 and up. Cost includes attendance to the demo/lecture.

Students, visitors and staff are expected to maintain a standard of behavior conductive to the community spirit of learning and working at the Umpqua Valley Arts (UVA). Any individual in violation of these standards will not be allowed to continue classes and any remaining tuition will be forfeited. UVAA reserves the right to refuse enrollment as deemed appropriate by any staff member.

Payment and Refund Policy: Full payment at time of registration is required. Up until two weeks prior to the start of the event, you will receive a full refund (minus a $10 service charge) should you need to cancel your registration. However, cancellations made after this two-week time frame are nonrefundable. Should UVA cancel the event, all participants will receive a full refund or credit toward future classes.
