At NewComm, our mission is to invest in students who want to be forces of positive change in their communities and to transform classroom education into real world legacy.
Being a General Member includes access to robust and exclusive opportunities designed to build your skills and social capital. These opportunities include:
- NewComm's Career/College Readiness Toolkit: workshops and resources including SAT prep, resume-building, LinkedIn, college applications, mock interviews, networking
- Supper Clubs: breaking bread and learning from industry experts
- Community Roundtables: student or guest-led learning sessions where facilitators share their knowledge and present one of their high-leverage tools or strategies for attendees to directly implement for academic and personal use
Lastly, being a General Member by your sophomore year positions you well to become an Engaged Member or participate in NewComm's 2-year fellowship as a Fellow by your junior year.
