As part of our mission to spread the love for music, nurture talent and enrich Singapore’s diverse communities, we support the local music community by extending our expertise and venue for their productions.  

The Singapore Symphony Group’s Venue Support (SSG-VS) Scheme is available to groups grounded in Western Classical orchestral music and based in Singapore. We invite interested music ensembles to submit compelling proposals for projects you would like to actualise in the Victoria Concert Hall.  

Criteria

Proposals should demonstrate a clear performance element that is secular in nature. The long-term direction of the group will also be taken into consideration for selection.

Priority will be given to compelling proposals from the following groups who: 

• have not formerly participated in the Venue Support Scheme 
• have been formed for fewer than 5 years (as of 2026) 
• have charity status, with a clearly defined management and leadership team, and a long-term plan 

Application Information

This application is for projects to be put up in the 2027/2028 Financial Year (starting 1 April 2027 - 31 March 2028). Application period ends 29 April 2026.

You will be asked to supply the following information, please have them ready for submission on the next page: 

1. An introduction to your group
   1. Name of group (if registered as a charity, please provide the name as registered) 
   2. Contact person(s) and contact details 
   3. Short description of your group 
      (Kindly provide any applicable website or social media links) 
   4. Sample of past programmes the group has put up 
       
2. Details about your proposed project 
   1. Objectives of performance 
   2. Target audience & audience size 
   3. Programme Title 
   4. Programme 
   5. Any additional elements (e.g. theatrical elements, educational efforts, accessibility features) 
   6. How this project will contribute to the group’s growth in the long run 

 

All applications will be subjected to evaluation by the Singapore Symphony Group. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for a follow up.
