    Note:All applicants must be current competitive members of EWA. All Horses must have a Full Registration.

  • DRESSAGE

    Criteria

    • Minimum of 3 tests which have been judged by an EA Accredited Judge at Elementary obtaining 63%

    or

    • Minimum of 3 tests which have been judged by an EA Accredited Judge at Medium or above obtaining 60% or higher

    Tests must be attached with application.

  • SHOWJUMPING

    Criteria

    • Minimum of 3 rounds at 90cm and above with 0 penalties (in the first round)

    or

    • Minimum of 2 rounds with 0 penalties and 1 round with 4 penalties at 90cm or above

  • EVENTING

    Criteria

    • 3 MER at EvA95cm or above

      MER: Dressage; 45 penalties or below, Showjumping; 16 penalties or below, Cross Country Phases; 0 obstacle penalties and 30 or less time penalties

  • SHOW HORSE

    Criteria

    Athletes who have placed top 2 in their rider class at events below:

    • EWA HOTY
    • EWA Autumn Pageant
    • EWA Winter Gala
    • Adelaide, Brisbaine, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne or Hobart Royal Shows
    • The EA National Championships
    • Perth Royal Show
    • EWA New Comers
    • EWA Intermediate

  • Riders are reminded that participating in the Maitland Park Western Australian Youth Talent Equestrian Pathway activities is a privilege, not a right. These privileges are withdrawn if riders do not follow the Code of Conduct.

     

    CODE OF CONDUCT

    • Be courteous to the coordinator, coaches, parents, spectators, guest speakers & Squad members.
    • Ensure that the actions and activities of both you and others are in accordance with all rules and regulations.
    • Have consideration for your horse. This includes not only feeding, watering, and washing down but also the use of spurs, whip and reins.
    • Wear approved and safe riding equipment, including an approved, securely fastened, helmet at all times while riding.
    • Ensure uniforms are worn at all squad activities and maintain a neat appearance.
    • Observe all rules and guidelines of training and competition venues and be mindful and considerate to fellow riders. 
    • Riders will also be asked to sign the EWA High Performance Code of Conduct before commencing their first ridden clinic.
