Sessions, using an evidenced-based curriculum provided by the state of Louisiana, includes topics focused on relationship building, sexual risk avoidance, HIV, sexually transmitted diseases, and infections (STD/STI) prevention, pregnancy prevention, peer pressure. These sessions explain the concepts behind contracting HIV, STD/STI through sexual activity, and some of the language may be explicit. Furthermore, the sessions explore the topic of puberty and the changes the body experiences.
