Girl Scout Program Volunteer Interest Form

Help create memorable experiences for Girl Scouts by supporting fun, hands-on programs across our council! As a Program Event Volunteer, you'll assist Girl Scouts of Western Ohio program staff with activities that inspire girls, build confidence, and keep them engaged in Girl Scouting. Whether you're welcoming participants, helping with event logistics, or leading activities, your time makes a lasting impact.
Responsibilities:
1. Support and demonstrate a commitment to, knowledge of, and ability to communicate the goals, mission and philosophy of the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio (GSWO) and Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA).
2. Promote all guidelines, policies and procedures established by Girl Scouts of Western Ohio and GSUSA at all times.
3. Maintain active status as a Program Volunteer through facilitating or assisting with one GSWO program event (EX, helping with check in, facilitiating activities, supporting South or North BIG Expo, etc.)
4. Attend scheduled meetings or trainings for GSWO volunteers to remain up to date on important information.
5. Complete any necessary paperwork and return all required reports and materials to the designated staff as required.
6. Stay informed about GSWO program events through the GSWO Council Event Volunteer Rallyhood.
7. Represent Girl Scouts of Western Ohio by maintaining high standards in communication, presentation (including personal appearance) and customer service.
Qualifications:
1. Complete volunteer application process and register as a Girl Scout adult.
2. Attend initial and ongoing position related training.
3. Understand and be able to apply the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
4. Comply with council policies and procedures.
5. Work productively and respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds.
6. Demonstrate strong planning, organizational, evaluation and follow-through skills.
7. Be able to use a computer and email.
