Social Enterprise Australia - Challenge Area Groups
Social Enterprise Australia is deepening options for participation in the social enterprise national strategy, working towards an economy that puts people and planet first. We’ll be convening or co-convening groups focused on the challenge areas identified by the sector, and invite Social Enterprise Australia members and others working towards an economy that puts people and planet first to express interest.

These groups will draft challenge area strategies that form part of the social enterprise national strategy and seek to share a galvanising direction for many actors to work towards. The strategies will be put to a Social Enterprise Australia member vote.

To start with we’ll aim for no more than 30 people per group to support meaningful and manageable contributions and relationship building. The first gathering will be a two-hour online session to get us started and enable people from all corners of the country to join easily. Each group can then decide if they’d like to work towards a face-to-face meeting.

To help us represent diverse perspectives and experiences please share a little about you and your interests. Submissions for this round of challenge area groups will close 21 January 2026.

Thank you! We appreciate the time and effort you’ve put into this form and your desire to help social enterprise reach its potential. While it’s possible we won’t be able to invite everyone who expresses interest in the groups, there are ongoing opportunities to participate in national strategy development and connect towards an economy that puts people and planet first. In the meantime, consider penciling in the dates of the challenge group/s you’re interested in till we can respond towards the end of January.
