Volunteer General Policy
We ask that all volunteers honor their chosen commitiments/opportunties or notify us in advance if they're unable to commit or show up, as consistent participation helps us provide reliable care and support for our cats. Communication is everything! No show-ers without communication will be terminated :)
Volunteers are expected to follow safety guidelines, organizational policies, and treat store staff, members, other volunteers and animals with respect at ALL times. Training and guidance will be provided for assigned roles and volunteers must work under supervision when handling cats or performing specialized tasks. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, though those under 18 may participate with parental consent and supervision.
Volunteers may have access to sensitive information and must maintain confidentiality. Participation is at your own risk, so please notify us of any allergies, medical conditions, or special needs so we can do our best to accomodate you.
Furballs reserves the right to terminate a volunteer role at any time for safety, policy violations or other concerns. We value all volunteers and strive to provide meaningful, rewarding experiences, recognizing contributions through group hang-outs, communications and other forms of appreciation.
