Arizona Youth Leadership Forum (AZYLF) – Summer 2026
Where: University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ
When: July 13–17, 2026
Cost: There is no charge for youth to participate in AZYLF. However, if selected, participants must complete a Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) form*.
Transportation:
Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from AZYLF. If you have questions or need assistance with transportation, please contact us at admin@diverseabilityincorporated.org or call 602-425-5135.
Food & Lodging:
Participants will stay on campus in one of the University of Arizona’s dorms and will share a room with at least one other individual. Meals will be provided by the university and will most often be enjoyed in one of UA’s dining halls.
Accessibility & Accommodations:
AZYLF is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible experience for all participants. If you require accommodations or assistive technology, such as accessible materials, interpreters, mobility support, or assistive devices, please indicate this in your application. We will work with you to ensure your full participation.
Medications:
To ensure safety and proper handling, all medicines, including prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and supplements, must be turned in to Diverse Ability Incorporated staff upon arrival at AZYLF. Medications will be securely stored, and participants must request their medications at the appropriate times.
Participants are required to self-administer their medications, as Diverse Ability Incorporated staff are not medical professionals and are not authorized to administer medication.
Important: All participants and/or parents or legal guardians must complete a Medication Information and Consent Form prior to participating in AZYLF. This form helps us understand your medication needs and ensures proper storage and access during the event.
Communication & Device Use:
To help you fully engage and maximize your potential to learn and grow, participants will be asked to use specific times to connect with parents, guardians, or other supporters.
Headsets, radios, electronic devices, and cell phones should only be used during scheduled AZYLF activities if they are identified as reasonable accommodations or approved by the session or activity leader.
*Cost & Funding (Pre‑ETS Form):
Thanks to our diverse funding and collaborative partnerships, including with the Rehabilitation Services Administration/Vocational Rehabilitation (RSA/VR), youth can participate in AZYLF at no charge. To receive this funding and facilitate AZYLF, selected participants must complete a Pre‑Employment Transition Services (Pre‑ETS) Form. This Form is the document RSA/VR uses to authorize funding support for eligible students.
