2026 Community Scholarship Application

Criteria for successful submission of the Community Scholarship Application
The Shelly Company is pleased to offer a $500 academic scholarship to one graduating high school senior (per school) from more than 20 local high schools.

Eligibility

Students are eligible for the scholarship if they meet the following citeria:
1. Must be a graduating high school senior
2. Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
3. Must attend a high school supported by The Shelly Company Community Scholarship in 2026. A complete list of eligible schools can be found here: Westerville Central, Sheridan, Gallia Academy, Maysville, Linden McKinley, Zane Trace, Marietta, Grove City, Massillon Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, Jackson Milton, Copley, Streetsboro, Maplewood Career Center, Crestwood, Liberty Benton, Maumee, Benjamin Logan, Celina, Carey, Belpre, Zanesville, Canal Fulton Northwest, Toledo Public Schools
*Special consideration will be given to students with experience in leadership roles, volunteer service and community involvement

Application Process

The following items must be included in your application for a successful submission:
1. Complete online application form
2. Official high school transcript (uploaded to application form)
3. One letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach or other adult who is not an immediate relative (uploaded to application form)
4. Letter of acceptance from an accredited two or four year college/university (uploaded to application form)
5. A typed 1-2 page double-spaced essay addressing the following topic:
Do you believe people are capable of change? Please provide us with a brief explanation and/or personal experience to enhance your answer.
