26-27 Pre-IB/IB Open Enrollment Application

Lake Wales High School Open Enrollment Window for the 2026-2027 school year will be January 5, 2026 through February 6, 2026. Applications submitted after the February 6, 2026 deadline will be considered Post-Open Enrollment and will only be considered after all on-time applications have been processed.

Review the IB Website (www.ibo.org) carefully as this program is designed for students committed to academic achievement and community service.
Only complete applications will be considered for admission. This includes scans or PDFs of the student’s middle school (or most recent) transcript. This can be obtained from your middle school guidance counselor. Be advised that a report card is not sufficient; please obtain and include the applicant’s transcript.

Enrollment criteria for the IB Program: GPA: 3.25 and above. Reading (FAST) and Math (BEST) Assessments with achievement level of 3 and above. Please include any other high school level end-of-course exam scores. If coming from a Polk County School, this will be included in the middle school transcript.

Applicants residing in the Lake Wales attendance zone who do not meet IB admission requirements will automatically be added to Lake Wales High School (general program) lottery. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of spots, all applicants will have an equal opportunity via a lottery for Lake Wales High School.
Applicants residing outside of the Lake Wales area should also complete the traditional application in the event they are not admitted to the IB Programme.
