I will treat all animals, personnel and other volunteers with respect, and I will work as a team member with all volunteers.

I am aware that as a volunteer of Country Acres Rescue, I am acting as a representative of the organization and agree to maintain a professional demeanor.

I understand that Country Acres Rescue reserves the right to discontinue my volunteer services at any time and for any reason at its sole discretion.

Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure: I understand that as a volunteer, I may have access to sensitive information including, but not limited to, adopter/foster information, veterinary records, internal communications, financial information, and operational details. I agree to keep all such information confidential and not share, disclose, or discuss it with any third party without prior authorization from Country Acres Rescue. This includes posting or discussing internal matters, animals, fosters, adopters, or rescue decisions on social media or public platforms without approval.

Social Media & Representation: I understand that as a volunteer, I may share my experiences to help promote Country Acres Rescue and its animals. When doing so, I agree to: Represent myself clearly as a volunteer, not as an official spokesperson of the organization, share accurate information and not make statements regarding policies, medical conditions, or adoption decisions unless provided or approved by the rescue. I agree to not engage in negative, argumentative, or harmful discussions involving the rescue, its animals, fosters, adopters, or partners. I will respect the privacy of fosters, adopters, and any individuals associated with the rescue. I understand that Country Acres Rescue reserves the right to request removal of any content that does not align with its standards or mission.

Incident Reporting: I agree to immediately report any injuries, bites, escapes, or incidents involving animals, people, or property to Country Acres Rescue.

Access to Systems & Security: If I am granted access to any systems, platforms, or accounts (including but not limited to Shelterluv, email, social media, or donation platforms), I agree to: Keep login credentials confidential, not share access with anyone, use access only for authorized rescue purposes, and I will notify the rescue if I suspect unauthorized access. I also understand access may be revoked at any time.

I understand that I may be held responsible for any damage caused by my negligence or failure to follow instructions while volunteering.

Animal Transport & Removal: I agree that I will not transport, relocate, place, or remove any animal from a foster, facility, event, or location without prior authorization from Country Acres Rescue. I understand that unauthorized movement of any animal may result in immediate termination of my volunteer status.

I agree that the animals are owned solely by and are the property of Country Acres Rescue. As a volunteer of this organization, I will not withhold, sell or give away any animal entrusted to me by the organization

Volunteer Waiver, Release & Assumption of Risk I desire to participate as a volunteer with Country Acres Rescue. I understand and acknowledge that activities performed by me as a volunteer will be performed strictly on a voluntary basis, without any pay, compensation, or benefits, including without limitation, worker’s compensation benefits. I understand while volunteering, I may be photographed and/or videoed. I consent and authorize my photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by Country Acres Rescue. In consideration of being allowed to participate as a volunteer: I hereby voluntarily and knowingly release and discharge the Country Acres Rescue, its officers, employees, and agents, from any and all liability, claims, or demands for personal injury, illness, or property damage which may arise, either directly or indirectly, from my participation. I understand and acknowledge that volunteering with animals and within a rescue environment may involve inherent risk of harm, injury, illness or disease, including, but not limited to, animal bites, scratches, exposure to illness or disease caused by animals, and other physical or environmental hazards. I hereby accept and voluntarily assume all such risks, and I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any and all consequences arising from my participation. By signing below, I expressly waive and release any cause of action, claim, or demand of any kind or nature arising from my participation as a volunteer. This release extends to any injury, loss, or damage incurred during or in connection with my volunteer activities.
