    Come and join us in Montevideo and learn about the German research landscape, how to get funding and how to start your research career in Germany.

    The event is open for all candidates interested in doing a PhD or Postdoc in Germany.

    Learn everything you need to know about funding, research careers and opportunities as PhDs and Postdocs in Germany. This in-person workshop will connect prospective young researchers with representatives from German universities and funding organizations, which will present their opportunities and offer individual consultation to the participants.

    This event is organized by Freie Universität Berlin, Technical University of Munich, University Alliance Ruhr, and University of Münster with the support of DAAD Lectorate Uruguay, the DFG Office Latin America, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and EURAXESS and co-organized and hosted by Universidad de la República in Montevideo.

    Please be aware that this workshop is dedicated to students/researchers who are interested in doing a PhD or Postdoc in Germany.

    Please note that this event is intended for students/researchers who are currently pursuing or already hold a PhD (conclusion not more that 4 years agor), or enrolled in a Master's degree. Students who would like to pursue a Master's degree in Germany or are already experienced researchers are not eligible for participation. 

    Bear in mind: You can apply for a scholarship for a doctorate up to six years after your last academic degree. In the case of postdoctoral funding, you can apply up to twelve years after your doctorate.
