    5th annual spring event: Santee's Bunny Trail!

     

    Saturday, March 28, 2026

    10:00am - 1:00pm

     

    We would love to have you join us as we host a family-friendly, trick-or-treat style egg hunt around Town Center Park East. The day will be filled with arts and craft booths, games, giveaways, a live DJ, and a fun photo opportunity with the Beloved Bunny.

     

    By participating in this event, you and your business will get the chance to interact with over 2,000 East County residents!

    Setup: 8:30am

    Town Center Park East - 550 Park Center Dr., Santee, CA 92071

     

    Event Scope:

    • Guests will hop along the rows of vendor booths as "Bunny Trail Stops"  (This is where you will be set up)
    • Guests will visit trail stops to collect eggs; they can visit as many as they like and in any order they like.
    • Once they are done collecting eggs, they will exchange the eggs for a goodie bag at the City's "egg redemption" booth
    • In addition to the Bunny Trail, guests will get to participate in games, crafts, receive giveaways, and continue the Spring spirit.

     Additional Notes:

    • This event will be held rain or shine
    • All booths must provide an interactive opportunity or activity for participants; activities must be done in your 10'x10' assigned space, unless preapproved by the City of Santee.
    • Your 10' x 10' booth will be located in the grass (weather permitting).
    • All canopies must be secured with weights or tie-downs on all posts. Booths may be subject to inspection by the Fire Marshall.
    • Nothing can be staked into the grass.
    • No sales can be conducted on site; however, you may collect customer information for free opportunity drawings or giveaways.
    • Please help us promote the event through your website, social media channels, e-blasts, promotional collateral, and word of mouth.
    • The City of Santee reserves the right to choose vendors that meet the needs/theme of the event. Multiple vendors in attendance may provide similar services and/or resources.

     

    What the City will provide:

    • Empty eggs for you to pass out to guests. City staff wil refill your basket throughout the event
    • a 10' x 10' space for you to operate your games / crafts / outreach
      • please let staff know if you need more space - requests will be approved on a case-by-case basis

     

    What we ask for you to provide:

    • A game, craft, activity, or additional giveaway in addition to your promotional materials 
    • Large buckets or baskets to store your eggs while passing them out to the public.  City staff will stop by and refill your container.  (Anticipate the container to hold approximately 100 egs)

     

    Donations:

    The City of Santee is soliciting donations to add to our goodie bags. If you are able to donate at least 1,000 items such as: toys; candy; coupons, or other items, please send us an email. Additional promotional opportunities available for your donations.

  • Insurance - $65 fee

    If you are unable to provide proof of insurance naming the City of Santee as additionally insured, you can purchase insurance through the City of Santee

    Sample of required COI verbiage:

  • Booth Equipment - $75 fee

    If you are unable to provide your own equipment, the City of Santee will provide (1) 10'x10' canopy with weights, (1) six-foot table, and (2) chairs
