Zypherpunk: How we ran the world's biggest privacy hackathon ever
Presenter: Harsh Bajpai is currently a Research Engineer at Aztec, where they work on privacy and scaling research and engineering. They were previously a Research Engineer at Fuel Network and a Protocol Engineer at Polygon Hermez, contributing to Polygon ID, a zero-knowledge decentralized identity (zk-DID) solution. Harsh also contributes to open-source projects and collaborates with teams working on innovative privacy and scaling technologies.

Presenter: mai ishikawa sutton is an organizer and writer focused on the digital commons and other intersections between network technologies and the solidarity economy. They are a Senior Organizer with DWeb and a Digital Commons Fellow with Commons Network. They are a co-founder and editor of COMPOST, an online magazine about and for the digital commons.
Session Description: Join this session to learn practical tools and facilitation tips to design engaging, inclusive workshops and round tables, both virtual and in-person. mai ishikawa sutton will share strategies from their years of organizing in the DWeb community, including how to spark participation, manage group dynamics, and turn conversations into action. Building Online Communities Around Privacy and Shared Values
Presenter: Naomi Brockwell is the President and Founder of the Ludlow Institute, a research and media institute dedicated to advancing freedom through technology. Their media arm, NBTV, creates educational content to help people reclaim their privacy and autonomy online -- they have over 1 million subscribers across platforms and over 100 million views of their videos.
Naomi's background spans policy, journalism, and documentary filmmaking — including work at the New York Bitcoin Center, producing for Emmy-winning journalist John Stossel, and hosting CoinDesk's Break it Down and The Hash. She has produced two award-winning documentaries and is co-founder of The Soho Forum debate series. She serves on the Advisory Council at the Mannkal Economic Education Foundation and is the author of Beginner's Introduction To Privacy and the children's book Billy's Bitcoin.

What is Zcomm?
Zcomm is a one-day virtual event hosted by the Zcash Foundation that brings together community builders from around the world to share practical skills, tools, and approaches for organizing, educating, and engaging their communities. The focus is on the “how”—how to run events, create content, grow communities, and inspire action.
When is Zcomm?
Zcomm will take place on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, and will be held entirely online on Youtube and Discord.

Anyone in the Zcash ecosystem, or beyond, who is interested in learning how to educate, organize, activate, or grow a community. Whether you’re new to community building or already leading local or online initiatives, Zcomm is designed to support you.
How do I register for Zcomm? Is it required?
Registration is not required. If you’d like to receive updates and reminders, we encourage you to register via this form.
How will Zcomm work, and how do I participate?
Zcomm is a fully virtual event streamed live on the Zcomm playlist of the Zcash Foundation’s YouTube channel. Simply join the Youtube livestream at the scheduled session times; no login or special access required. Each session also has its own Zcomm Discord channel, where you can post questions during the talk- speakers will answer selected questions live. If you can’t attend in real time, all sessions will be recorded and available on YouTube to watch later at your convenience.
Is Zcomm focused on Zcash-specific content?
No. While all Zcomm sessions will include a presenter that helps relate the content to the Zcash context, the event is intentionally not limited to Zcash updates or protocol-specific content. Instead, sessions focus on transferable skills, like how to organize hackathons or build strong partnerships that could benefit Zcash and any other communities you engage with.
