    • Be 18 Years or Older
    • Live in Sydney. *No Interstate Fostering.
    • Be able to transport your foster animal to & from Sydney Dogs & Cats Home.

  • *Dogs with special needs require fosters who can actively work with SDCH to help these animals adjust to home life and get ready for adoption.

    They may need regular check-ins with our vet team, on-going training and communuication with the SDCH Foster team. 

    Cases that are deemed special will be monitored closely by SDCH with all treatments and care needs provided for fosters with ongoing support from our Animal Team.

  • Fostering A Cat

    Tell us little bit more about your experience with cats
  • All foster cats and kittens should be kept indoors in a secure environment. If they spend time outside, it will need to be in a fully enclosed area with no opportunity for the cat to jump/climb out.

  • Fostering Rabbits & Pocket Pets

    Tell us little bit more about your experience with smaller animals
  • All rabbits and pocket pets should be kept indoors only. They will likely spend most of their time in a secure enclosure to avoid any harm to themselves or your home. If they spend time outside, it will need to be in a fully enclosed area with no opportunity for the animal to jump/climb out.
