Apprentice Letter of Support
Submit one (1) letter of support from someone knowledgeable about the traditional art form and the apprentice's potential. This could be a teacher, arts administrator, or a community or family member familiar with the apprentice's work.
The letter should include:
- The recommender's background/position and relationship to the apprentice.
- The apprentice's prior experience and commitment to the traditional art form.
- The apprentice's relationship with their prospective mentor.
- The apprentice's potential to become a future tradition bearer.
Include the sender's letterhead (if applicable).
Typed in Times, Helvetica, or similar font, no smaller than 12-point, double-spaced, or neatly printed.
Submit the letter with the application or email it directly to jramirez@texasfolklife.org.
Use the subject line: 2026 APPRENTICE SUPPORT - LAST NAME
