Artist Mentor Letter of Support
Submit one (1) letter from someone familiar with the mentor’s qualifications and the apprenticeship's community impact. This person could be a folklorist, arts administrator, peer, or community member knowledgeable about the mentor’s work. The letter should include:
- The recommender’s background/position and relation to the mentor.
- The mentor’s artistic ability, teaching/mentoring experience, and commitment to the traditional art form.
- The importance of the tradition to the community.
- Why this apprenticeship is important for sustaining the tradition.
Include the sender's letterhead (if applicable).
Typed in Times, Helvetica, or similar font, no smaller than 12-point, double-spaced, or neatly printed.
