    RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, AND ASSUMPTION OF
    RISK AGREEMENT.


    PLEASE READ CAREFULLY - BY SIGNING, YOU WAIVE CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE.

    1. AGREEMENT TO THIS WAIVER
    By signing this agreement, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to the terms stated below. If the participant is under the age of nineteen (19), I confirm that I am the participant’s parent or legal guardian and am signing on their behalf. This agreement is binding on myself, my child or ward (if applicable), and our respective heirs, legal representatives, executors, administrators, and assigns.

    2. DEFINITIONS
    In this agreement:
    “A Greener Future” refers to the nonprofit organization hosting the event.
    “Releasees” refers to A Greener Future and its directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, volunteers, and representatives.
    “Activities” refers to litter cleanups and any related activities including, but not limited to, setup and takedown, travel to and from events, workshops, educational sessions, and community engagement opportunities organized or endorsed by A Greener Future.

    3. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
    I understand that participation in the Activities involves certain inherent risks, hazards, and dangers, including but not limited to physical injury, allergic reactions, environmental exposure, or accidents during travel. I acknowledge that these risks exist regardless of the care taken by A Greener Future or the Releasees, and I voluntarily assume all such risks.

    4. RELEASE OF LIABILITY & WAIVER OF CLAIMS
    I hereby waive, release, and forever discharge the Releasees from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action, whether in law or equity, in respect of death, injury, loss, or damage to person or property, arising directly or indirectly from my participation (or my child’s participation) in the Activities, due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence, breach of duty of care, or breach of contract.

    5. INDEMNITY
    I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all liability for any damage to property or personal injury to any third party resulting from my (or my child’s) participation in the Activities.

    6. MEDICAL CONSENT
    In the event of an accident or illness affecting me (or my child), and if I am not immediately available for consultation, I authorize the Releasees to secure any medical treatment deemed necessary for my care or the care of my child. I understand I am responsible for any costs incurred.

    7. CONFIRMATION OF VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION
    I acknowledge that I have had the opportunity to ask questions regarding this waiver. I confirm that I am participating voluntarily and that I fully understand and agree to the terms of this agreement.

    8. GOVERNING LAW
    This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
