~ Butter & Egg Days Parade and Festival ~

Festival: 10am - 5pm / Kids Parade: 11:30am / Main Parade: Noon
The Butter & Egg Days Parade hosts over 130 units with approximately 3,000 participants and over 200 volunteers. The Butter & Egg Days Festival is fun for the entire family offering a wide variety of festival foods, crafts, arts, two large “kid areas” that includes jumpies, hands on activities, rides, and so much more, all spread over four city blocks.
VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Banner Carrier – Carry sponsor or other signs and banners in the parade. Great choice for older kids! (36+ needed; 11am-2:30pm)
Beverage Garden – Pour & serve beverages, process credit cards (we're cashless!), check IDs & wristbands, remind people not to leave the Beverage Garden areas with alcoholic beverages. The two Beverage Gardens are located at B St @ Pet Blvd (SIRS) and Western St @ Kentucky St (L. Rooney). RBS training encouraged (See below for upcoming classes). Must be 21 & over; (60+ needed; 10am-1:15pm or 1-4:15pm)
Retail Booth – Provide Customer Service in Butter & Egg Days retail booths selling event merchandise, sodas, water, etc. (9am-1pm or 1-5pm)
Safety Monitor – Serve as a Crossing Guard / Crowd Host along the Parade Route to help spectators stay safe during the parade. (55 needed; 10:30am-2:30pm)
Stager / Marshal – Help check-in and line up the parade units and walk with them in the parade in case they need assistance. (9am-2:30pm)
Sustainability Stations – Help direct the public to dispose of their trash & recycling properly!
Logistics Team Member – Help before and after the parade with a variety of duties: banner hanging, delivering supplies, ushering seating areas, returning banners & supplies to Headquarters, covering for breaks, etc. (2 shifts: 8-11:30am or 1:30-5pm)
INVITE ONLY: Announcers, Cow Chip, Finance, HQ – These are invite only positions. In "notes" field, please specify who invited you to participate and for what position. Do not select unless you have been specifically asked.
