The carter Greene Scholarship

A scholarship will be awarded to the MISS division winner (16-19). The scholarship amount will be dependent on the number of contestant entries. This scholarship is awarded in loving memory of our 2023 rice festival princess, Carter Greene.

NO REFUNDS & NO TRANSFERS ARE GIVEN FOR ANY CIRCUMSTANCES UNLESS THE PAGEANT IS CANCELLED!

•  Prizes & Winnings

Beauty Kings/Queens: All beauty winners receive a beautiful crown, title sash, a trophy and are expected to ride in the Rice Festival parade and the Christmas parade.

We will also have a 1st & 2nd runner-up per age group. Winners will receive a trophy.

All other contestants will  receive a participation trophy. No one goes home empty-handed.

Fun-Fashion OR Spring Wear:  - Can be hand- made or off the rack. If you do not have fun fashion you can wear Spring/Easter wear.

Winners will receive a director’s gift.

Music will be provided by our DJ Kyle Mills, please email him (soundguymills@yahoo.com) or contact him on Facebook if you want a specific song played. Make sure you reference this pageant in the subject line as he DJs for many, if you do not choose music will be provided for you. Contestants will be judged on personality, stage presence and originality.

Side Events (Best Smile, Hair, Eyes), Winners in each division per pageant - will receive a nice gift for each event!

 Overall door optionals

$15 each or $40 for all 3

Overall door optionals: use the scores you are already earning to win additional titles and more awards. Only contestants that enter the door optionals are eligible for these titles. There will be division I and division II winners. These can be paid for in advance or at the door.

●       Overall beauty will be awarded to the contestant with the highest beauty score

●       Overall fun fashion will be awarded to the contestant with the highest fun fashion score

●       Overall personality will be awarded with the contestant who has the highest score for personality  

Sportsmanship: We do not tolerate bad sportsmanship. Anyone showing bad sportsmanship OR Bad behavior before/during/or after the pageant will be disqualified without a refund and will forfeit their title.

 Door Admission: Each contestant will be allowed 1 chaperone back-stage and will receive 1 chaperone badge – there are no men allowed in the dressing rooms. Pageant Admission: $10 for everyone – children 5 & under are free.

BOYS may wear Sunday's Best or suits Girls Dresses: You may wear any dress of choice for Beauty Fun Fashion or Spring Wear can be handmade or off the rack - this is an event for you to have fun with!

We are looking for a PRETTY face and personality! No wigs, falls, or any kind of hair extensions are allowed. No flippers, fake teeth, fake eyelashes, this will count against you!

Girls 0-2yrs: No make-up is allowed - looking for that natural beauty, wear any dress of choice (short dresses) with white socks and white shoes. Instead of being judged on modeling - they will be judged on spirit and poise.

Ages 3-8: Light make-up (blush, mascara, lip gloss - light eye shadow) Hair should be soft and sweet. White nail tips are allowed.

Girls 9 & up: Light makeup to enhance. Make up should be blended well! No heavy mascara or eyeliner. Hair should be soft and sweet. White nail tips are allowed.

If you are unclear on the pageant rules, please feel free to call us or send a picture of the dress in question! Judges will also be given these rules before the pageant when judging!

EMCEE APPLICATION: (Rice Festival Pageant) Please print clearly and fill out completely!

Rules/regulations: I hereby release this pageant, its director, or anyone associated with the pageant, the rice festival organization, its committee/organizations, its agents, facility where being held, for any damage, injury, or theft while participating in the pageant, the rice festival parade, or while traveling to or from the pageant or parade, during the pageant, or while fulfilling any duty associated with the pageant. I enter by child of my own free will and I am responsible for my child and myself and accept full responsibility for both of us. I agree to abide by all rules and regulations. I understand that no refunds will be given unless the pageant is cancelled and not rescheduled. All information given is true and correct to my knowledge. I understand this is a fun event and that there is a zero-tolerance policy of un-sportsmanship conduct by any contestant, their family members, or friends.

Signature Awards: You do not have to collect signatures to enter the pageant - however you may collect to pay your entry fee or

it's a great way to earn extra awards. All signatures are $1 each or however much the person(s) would like to donate. You may also

get business sponsors. If you get an ad sponsor, please be sure to get their business card, as we will advertise them on the program.

If you collect the following (not) going towards your entry fees you will receive the following awards:

$175 - tiara, gift, trophy, sash

$200 - tiara, gift, large trophy, sash

$300 - Your entry fees paid to the pageant, large crown, scepter, 6ft - single post trophy with your name engraved on it and will be crowned as our Sweetheart Winner and will be asked to ride in the Parade.

Ambassador Winner: The contestant who raises the most money will be crowned with our Overall Signature Winner. Your entry fees are paid to the pageant, large crown, scepter, 6ft trophy.

Signature awards DO-NOT have anything to do with the actual winners of the pageant! This is an extra way to raise money for the pageant and in return you win PRIZES!!! Judges do not know about these awards and have no idea who participates.
