Thank you for your interest in vending at the City of Newcastle’s 2026 Summer Events. Please note that submission or prior participation does not guarantee acceptance. Our Community Activities Commission curates a fresh and varied selection of food vendors each year, seeking interesting, high-quality menus that will excite and appeal to our community.
- Deadline: Please submit your application by May 4. The selection process takes place in May.
- Notification: Most updates and decisions are shared via email, so please provide a valid address that you check regularly.

BEFORE YOU SUBMIT

If chosen, you must have the following required documents ready to submit upon acceptance or provide them no later than 14 days before the event.
- Liabilty Insurance: Food vendors must supply the City with a copy of the insurance document naming the City as additional insured for specific events and dates. Agency/Company shall maintain Commercial General Liability no less than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate for personal injury and property damage. The Commercial General Liability insurance shall be endorsed to include coverage for both ongoing and completed operations. The insurance polic(ies) shall be primary with respect to the City.
- Fire Inspection & Permit: Food trucks must have valid King County Association of Fire Marshals inspection, fire department operational permit from any agency in the state, cleaned hood and current tag on suppression system.
- Health Permit: Food vendors must have the appropriate food business permit from the King County Department of Public Health. Food trucks typically have an annual mobile food business permit and food tents need to apply for a temporary event food business permit.
- Please note that City of Newcastle is serviced by Bellevue Fire Department (BFD). Per BFD, food vendors are required to have a Class K fire extinguisher. Tent canopies must be NFPA 701 Flame Certified, with tag or paperwork available to the fire inspector on the day of the event.
If a fee applies to your event, you will recieve a payment link upon notification of your selection. Failure to submit payment by the required deadline will result in removal from the event.
