  • Head Swim Coach – Hillside Swim Team (Summer 2026)

    The Hillside Swim Team is seeking an enthusiastic Head Swim Coach for our upcoming 7/8-week summer season. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about working with swimmers of all ages (6–18) and who can foster a positive, skill-focused environment for our recreational community.

    Season Schedule
    Dates: May 26, 2026 – July 26, 2026.
    Practice: Mon–Thurs, 6:30 AM – 10:30 AM.
    Meets: Most Fridays (same time as practice).
    Note: No practice July 3rd. Includes a post-season banquet in late July.

    Key Responsibilities
    Coach and support swimmers ages 6–18 in a positive, encouraging environment.
    Teach proper stroke technique with a heavy emphasis on safety, efficiency, and injury prevention.

    Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and lead team events.

    Coordinate with the parent rep the volunteer needs of swim meets, and to manage meet entries accurately and on time.

    Qualifications 

    Expertise: Strong understanding of competitive strokes, starts, and turns, with the ability to create age-appropriate skill progressions.

    Coloroade Safety Complainace: 

    Safety Compliance: Per the Colorado Safer Youth Sports Act (SB24-113), this position is contingent upon a successful criminal background check (conducted every 3 years), and annual completion of state-approved Mandated Reporter training-Mandated Reporter training must be completed before you can work with the swimmers. You need this completed by May 15, 2026

    Background Check Requirements 

    Finalists: A criminal background check will be required for all applicants moving forward to the in-person interview stage.

    Applicants Under 18: If the applicant is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must provide a signature of consent to authorize the background check.


    Compensation & Benefits

    Pay Rate: $18.00–$20.00 per hour. 

    Benefits: In accordance with the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), employees accrue 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked.
