LCC Spring Break Camp Application

The Latino Cultural Center is hosting a Spring Break Art Camp, a free camp for Dallas students, March 16-20, 2026, Monday-Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Dallas youth between the ages of 11-14 will participate in a one-week arts intensive. Participants will work with local artists on creative painting, cartoneria, and various hands-on arts activities throughout the week.

No pre-requisites or prior artistic experience is required to participate in this program. The camp is Free for students who are accepted. Priority will be given to Dallas based students who can attend all sessions. Space is limited.

El Centro Cultural Latino organizará un Campamento de Arte durante las vacaciones de primavera, un campamento gratuito para estudiantes de Dallas, del 16 al 20 de marzo de 2026, de lunes a viernes, de 9:00 AM a 5:00 PM.

Los jóvenes de Dallas entre 11 y 14 años participarán en una semana intensiva de artes. Los participantes trabajarán con artistas locales en pintura creativa, cartonería y diversas actividades artísticas prácticas durante toda la semana.

No se requieren requisitos previos ni experiencia artística para participar en este programa. El campamento es gratuito para los estudiantes que sean aceptados. Se dará prioridad a los estudiantes que residan en Dallas y puedan asistir a todas las sesiones. El cupo es limitado.

As a parent or legal guardian of a student attending the Latino Cultural Center Spring Break Art Camp, I agree to the following:

• I understand that attendance of the camp is mandatory. If my child misses more than one day of class, he/she will be withdrawn from the program.
• I will be responsible for the transportation of my child to and from the camp venue. My child will be at the center from 9 AM to 5 PM and will be picked up no later than 5:15 PM. If I am unable to transport my child, I will make arrangements and notify staff.
• I authorize the camp organizers to use photographs and/or video of my child for educational and promotional purposes.
• I give permission to the organizers to take my child to local field trips with staff and instructors.
• I understand that my child is expected to behave in a respectful and proper way throughout the camp. I understand that if my child continually misbehaves or disrespects the camp organizers and teachers, I will be asked to remove my student from the program.
• I understand that the camp organizers will not accept my child into the camp unless I sign a waiver and/or liability release (available on the first day of camp).  These documents will state that neither the cultural center, the City of Dallas, nor the camp organizers will be held liable for injuries or damages that happen to my child while he/she is attending the camp.
• I understand that my involvement in this process is integral to the success of my child and the entire process of the camp. I will assist the camp organizers by working with my child on assignments, volunteering time (if possible), and being a champion for my child's success.

Como padre/madre o tutor legal de un estudiante que asistirá al Campamento de Arte de Vacaciones de Primavera en el Centro Cultural Latino, acepto lo siguiente:

• Entiendo que la asistencia al campamento es obligatoria. Si mi hijo/a falta más de un día de clase, será dado de baja del programa.
• Seré responsable del transporte de mi hijo/a hacia y desde el lugar del campamento. Mi hijo/a estará en el centro de 9:00 AM a 5:00 PM y será recogido/a a más tardar a las 5:15 PM. Si no puedo transportarlo/a, haré los arreglos necesarios y notificaré al personal.
• Autorizo a los organizadores del campamento a usar fotografías y/o videos de mi hijo/a con fines educativos y promocionales.
• Doy permiso a los organizadores para llevar a mi hijo/a a excursiones locales con el personal y los instructores.
• Entiendo que se espera que mi hijo/a se comporte de manera respetuosa y adecuada durante todo el campamento. Si mi hijo/a se comporta de manera inapropiada o falta al respeto a los organizadores y maestros, se me pedirá que lo retire del programa.
• Entiendo que los organizadores del campamento no aceptarán a mi hijo/a en el campamento a menos que firme una exención y/o liberación de responsabilidad (disponible el primer día del campamento). Estos documentos indicarán que ni el centro cultural, ni la Ciudad de Dallas, ni los organizadores del campamento serán responsables por lesiones o daños que ocurran mientras mi hijo/a asiste al campamento.
• Entiendo que mi participación en este proceso es fundamental para el éxito de mi hijo/a y del campamento en general. Apoyaré a los organizadores trabajando con mi hijo/a en las tareas, ofreciendo mi tiempo como voluntario/a (si es posible) y siendo un defensor del éxito de mi hijo/a.
