Clone of 2025 - 2026 SMPLA Annual Registration Form

This Second Semester Registration form is for the SMPLA/SMAC-LA “Suzuki Hoedown and Winter Festival” two Rehearsals, and the 2nd semester of the SMPLA “Suzuki Ensembles,” and the SMPLA “Core Activities” for the 2025-2026 season.

SMPLA/SMAC-LA: The “Winter Hoedown, Suzuki Festival, and Silent Auction” will take place on Sunday, February 22nd. (Information and registration for the 22nd is separate.) SMPLA is hosting two Rehearsals for the Hoedown/Festival, on Monday, January 26th and Monday, February 9th. All string instruments and all ages/abilities are invited and encouraged to participate - Violin, Guitar, Cello, Viola, Bass. (These Rehearsals will also include a few pieces from the “Suzuki Ensembles” program, below.)

“SUZUKI ENSEMBLES”: We’ll be learning selections from the Bach Brandenburg Concertos, movie tunes, fiddle pieces, and world music, along with special arrangements of the Suzuki repertoire. We will have five Workshop rehearsals, two public performances, and a concert. All string instruments and all ages/abilities are invited and encouraged to participate - Violin, Guitar, Cello, Viola, Bass. Each rehearsal will also include a “mini” solo recital - an opportunity for one or two students to perform a piece they have been working on. Rehearsals: March 2nd and 16th, April 6th and 20th, and May 11th (All Monday evenings, 5:45 – 7:10). Performances: Sunday, Mar. 22nd and Saturday April 25th, place/time TBA. Concert: Monday, May 18th, 6:00 pm.

CORE ACTIVITIES, 2nd Semester: Spring Solo Recital, Public Performances at Senior Living Centers, Malls, Parks, etc., Parent Support Forums, and other musical opportunities.
