    Please fill out the audition form below. Complete the form by scheduling your audition slot.

    Beginning with the 2025-2026 season, ALL auditions will move to 30-minute time slots of ten people or less.

    Performers are asked to arrive 10 minutes before their time slot.

    Auditions are closed, which means only those auditioning may be in the house. Anyone - including all parents, grandparents, siblings, and/or legal guardians - who is not signed up for the audition in that particular time slot is to remain in the lobby until the audition process is finished.

    Auditions are appointment only; you must schedule your appointment below to finalize this audition form and secure your spot. 

    Show Dates:  April 10-19, 2026

    Mandatory Dates: April 4 & 5, 2026 (Q2Q), April 6-9 (Tech Week), April 10-19 (Show Dates/Pick Up/Strike). Availability throughout the rehearsal process may affect casting.

    Location: 238 S. Clay Street, Gastonia NC, 28052. Parking is adjacent to the building.

    Show Rating: Mature audiences & patrons only. 18+

    This show requires 10+ performers of all race, sex, gender, sexuality, nationality, and experience level, ages 18+. The casting team is looking for a diverse group of performers across the board. 

  • CONFLICTS for rehearsals of AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY

    Please note that current rehearsal dates are tentative and may change. Not all performers may be called for every single rehearsal and that will be noted in the finalized calendar given out at the first rehearsal. 

    Please note that amount of conflicts and/or certain conflict dates may affect casting.

     

    Tentative Rehearsal Dates: Mondays - Fridays, March 2-April 9, 7-9pm 

  • CALLBACKS

    If needed, for a callback, you will be notified by Wednesday, February 25th.

    Not everyone will be needed for a callback. Callbacks are not indicative of casting.

    However, being unavailable for callbacks may affect casting.

  • AVAILABLE ROLES for AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY

    At this time, all roles are available to be cast.

    VIOLET WESTON: Female presenting. The mother of the Weston family. Lightning in a bottle. Violet is sharp-tongued, cunning, angry, and frequently under the influence of several prescription drugs, mostly depressants and heavy narcotics.

    Age range: reads 50+

    IVY WESTON: Female presenting. She works as a librarian, and her calm and patient exterior hides a passionate woman gradually growing cynical. Ivy’s pleasant if withdrawn demeanor masks the fact that she is looking for a way to escape the Weston family

    Age range: late 20s-40s

    KAREN WESTON: Female presenting. Flighty, immature, and maybe even a little eccentric, Karen can only talk about herself and her own happiness.

    Age range: 20s-40s

    BARBARA FORDHAM: Female presenting. Barbara has an intense desire to control everything around her, but her sarcasm and acid tongue distance herself from others. Comedic timing and a great sense of humor are a must.

    Age range: 30s-40s

    BEVERLY WESTON: Male presenting. The father of the Weston family. A poet who has given up on trying to save Violet. Educated, alcoholic, with an air of mystery.

    Age range: reads 50+

    STEVE HEDIEBRECHT: Male presenting. Karen's fiancé and a businessman in Florida. He is inappropriately sexual with Jean throughout the play, supplies her with marijuana, and sexually assaults her.

    Age range: reads 30+

    JEAN FORDHAM: Female presenting. A sarcastic movie buff, stoner, and rebel who’s bitter about a lot of things. While she is written as 14, she will be played by a performer 18+, reading younger.

    Age range: reads 14; is 18+

    BILL FORDHAM: Male presenting. A highly intelligent college professor whose marriage is disintegrating and whose patience is running thin

    Age range: reads 30s-40s

    MATTIE FAE AIKEN: Female presenting. Violet's sister. A brash, pushy, funny loudmouth who’s very likable but can also have a temper.

    Age range: reads 50+

    CHARLIE AIKEN: Male presenting. He tries his best to keep order amidst the craziness and is sometimes successful. A mostly reassuring presence who can alternate between seriousness and understated comedy.

    Age Range: reads late 40s

    LITTLE CHARLIE AIKEN: Male presenting. He is unemployed, clumsy, likable, artistic, patient, and has been told he’s a screw-up for most of his life

    Age Range: 20s-30s

    JOHANNA MONTEVATA: Female presenting. The live-in housekeeper of the Westons. An empathetic and compassionate witness to much of the mayhem in the house who sometimes takes matters into her own hands

    Age Range: 20+

    SHERIFF DEON GILBEAUX: Male presenting. A high school classmate and former boyfriend of Barbara's. As the local sheriff, he’s able to deliver news in a calm way but quickly becomes entangled in the Westons’ web

    Age Range: 30s+

     

  • PLEASE NOTE

     Mainstage productions do not have any fees associated with auditions and/or callbacks. 

    *If cast, performers ARE required to provide the following:

    -Shoes (unless otherwise noted). Depending on the production and the character, this can include sneakers, boots, dress, character and/or jazz shoes.

    -Make-up (unless otherwise noted). 

    -Undergarments (unless otherwise noted). This includes but does not exclude: underwear, undershirts, bras, socks, hoisery, dance belts, dance shorts and/or nudies, depending on the production and character.

    *If cast, performers MAY be asked to provide the following:

    -Costume Pieces: which are usually pants or common staple pieces performers already own. If performers do not already own the piece but decide to purchase it, they own that piece unless they choose to donate it. If performers do not already own the piece and do not want to purchase it, they will not be required to do so.

    -Accessory Pieces: if the performer already owns accessories that are needed in the script or desired for costuming purposes, such as jewlery, hats, wigs, purses, etc. - they may be asked to bring those in. The performer is not required to purchase these pieces. 

    *If cast, and the show has RENTED MATERIALS (specifically scripts, librettos, and/or music books), performers are required to put down a $50 script deposit. This fee will be held until rented materials are returned in proper condition and then given back to the performer. 

    -Script deposit are due at the first rehearsal. 

    -Script deposit can be taken via credit card number on file, personal check, or cash in an envelope with the performer's name on it. 

    -Script deposit are kept locked in the office until strike.
