We, the undersigned members, submit this petition with sincerity and respect, requesting that grievance SO-25-01 be put to a trial committee for investigation per the NATCA Constitution.
This request is made not in opposition to NATCA, but in reliance upon it. Our union exists to protect its members, to ensure fairness, and to give voice to those who may otherwise feel unheard. In bringing this forward, we are asking that the principles of solidarity, accountability, and due process be fully upheld.
The issues raised in this grievance are serious and sensitive. Given the circumstances, we believe this grievance should be afforded the right to a trial committee. This would allow for review of all facts, allowing an outcome to be reached without bias, conflict of interest, or the appearance of impropriety.
Turning over this grievance would demonstrate the union’s continued commitment to fair representation and to protecting the integrity of the grievance process. It would also reaffirm to the membership that concerns raised in good faith are met with diligence, transparency, and care.
This petition comes from a place of respect for the union and its leadership, and from a genuine desire to see the Constitution process work as intended. We respectfully request that this grievance be turned over so it may receive the full and impartial investigation it deserves.
