The Community Health Nurses of Canada is in the process of launching a new and improved website and membership platform.
While the new website and membership platform are being finalized, CHNC is using this temporary membership form.
Once the new platform is live, you’ll receive a follow-up message with instructions on how to access your account and review or update your membership profile. If you are an existing member, your current membership profile information will be imported into the new system.

Types of Membership and Fees MembersAny registered nurse with an interest in community health nursing, who possesses a current and valid licence in the province or territory in which the registered nurse practices may become a member of Community Health Nurses of Canada AssociatesCommunity Health Nurses of Canada recognizes Associates as essential to advance the goals and objectives of the organization. Associates are others interested in Community Health Nursing but who are not registered as individual members. These Associates have no voting privileges in Community Health Nurses of Canada and may not hold office nor serve as a Director. Associates may participate in Community Health Nurses of Canada Standing Committees and Forums, receive member communication and have access to the member’s only section of the website.
Associate Inactive Licence - an individual nurse who may or may not hold an active or current nursing registration and is retired or on leave from work may apply to be a CHNC associate, upon completion of the registration form and payment of the applicable Associate fee.
Associate Student – An undergraduate student enrolled in an approved or accredited nursing program in Canada may apply to be an Associate Student, upon completion of the registration form and payment of the applicable Associate fee. Special Opportunity for 2025: Students who are currently enrolled full time in a baccalaureate nursing degree program at a Canadian post-secondary institution are able to join CHNC for free.
Fees: Membership is effective for the calendar year January 1st to December 31st. Annual membership fees are not pro-rated. You have the option to join for one year or two years and can chose automatic renewal for either option.
