PART 1: Online Training-Complete BEFORE you start with trainer.
We encourage all trainees to completed their online training before their scheduled shift so that they can have more time on the floor with the trainer. If trainee has not completed the online training portion of Day 1, this should be done BEFORE they start their shift with the trainer.
The following courses should be completed in Safety Culture. Please have trainee show that they have been completed. Please note any test scored below 80% needs to be re-taken before the start of following shift.
PART 2: "ON THE JOB" Training.
For Day 1 you will be following your trainer in what we call "attached at the hip" This means the trainer and trainee complete the whole shift together. Trainer should lead at each table and introduce trainee. Between tables explaining tasks and processes. Check off the focus items you were able to spend time on with your trainee. If for some reason you are unable to spend time on a focus, simply do not check that item and note in your training notes.

Role Plays sometime feel silly and can put us on the spot. We have found doing a couple practice runs before leading out tables on the next trainee day can really help. Today starting with the "GREET" Role play each of the server steps. Manager or trainee sits at table and pretends to be guest while Server Trainee goes over each of the steps. with manager or trainer and ready to lead out tables next shift
