2026 ACAF Pavement Award Application

Award Category Descriptions

Florida Road Builder - Projects that are 30,000 tons or more usually being new construction, reconstruction, or a major overlay.

Rural Road Builder - Projects that are 10,000 tons or more. These project MUST have 51% or more of the project length within paved shoulders.

Urban Road Builder - Project that are 10,000 tons or more. These project MUST have 51% or more of the project length paved within curb and gutter.

Roads & Streets - Projects that are 5,000 tons or more.
Categories: FDOT & Non-FDOT

Special Projects - These are projects that do not fit the usual nature of asphalt roadway paving and resurfacing. These project normally will not be eligible for any other ACAF Award listed above. Project may include heavy duty applications, airfield paving, race tracks, landfill liners, or other projects. No minimum tonnage is required.
