This questionnaire is designed to match you with a dog at our shelter for quality hangout time outside of the shelter. By providing information about your lifestyle and preferences, you help us ensure a compatible match and help provide a good time for both dog and you! Once you've filled this form out and scheduled a time to pick up, our staff will have all your supplies and pup ready for your pick up!

Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled pickup time and bring a valid driver’s license.

Our team will do their best to match you with a dog based on your preferences and the dog’s needs. Since our pet population changes daily, we may not always have a dog that’s a perfect fit—and that’s okay!
We may not be able to contact you before your pickup due to limited staffing, so please remember to arrive at NSPCAHS on your scheduled day and time with valid ID to head out with your adventure buddy.
We’ll provide all the basic supplies you’ll need for your outing.
Please return your dog by the time listed on your appointment.
Kids are welcome to join the fun, but an adult must be the main handler for the day.
Any gear we provide should stay with the dog and be returned when you come back.
For safety reasons, dog parks and meet-ups with other dogs aren’t allowed.
Thinking about adoption? These outings are a great way to get to know a dog, but they don’t replace our regular adoption process or guarantee adoption.

Schedule a time to pick up your adventure buddy. Please note that if you want to participate in a Paws on the Town you must sign up for a slot no later than 4pm, as our shelter pets need to be back before 5:00pm.
