We love our job, and we want you to too! PetWise Professionals (Your Pet Care Connection LLC) is an established in-client-home pet care business. We are currently in search of a new farm care professional, to help provide exceptional animal care services to our clientele within a Part Time role. Available work hours may increase based on performance, and reliability.
Position requirements are as follows:
- Energetic pet lover!
- 18 years of age or older
- Legal US Resident
- Able to pass drug & background checks
- 2+ years farm animal / equine experience (professional care or ownership)
- Willing to work with flexible scheduling
- Dedicated & reliable worker
- Good with communication and prompt, timely responses
- Has own source of reliable transportation & able to provide vehicle maintenance records as proof of maintenance
- MUST BE: Reliable, trustworthy, dependable & outgoing
- Has the ability to send picture updates and messages to clients through application based software (phone app)
- Organized
- Patient and good-natured
- Willing to provide overnight and weekend care as needed
- Comfortable with providing oral medications (ability to also provide injection based medications preferred)
- Knowledgeable about or able to learn to recognize (including but not limited to): signs of heat exhaustion, colic, founder, health risks, anxiety, and behavioral posturing of multiple animals inclusive of equine, canines, and felines.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Able to walk 5+ miles daily
- Willing to provide services in a way that is consistent with PetWise's “uncompromising quality of care” standards
- Comfortable with a full range of animal breeds, and sizes, as well as with different pet temperaments and ages
Ideal candidate will be willing to work with a flexible schedule and be open to new jobs as the need arises. Currently seeking caregivers for farm & equine care, with dog walking, and pet sitting care as-needed. Employees are provided with a quality client list, shared among teammates, along with comprehensive liability insurance while working. All travel expenses are included (not additional) within employee pay rates.
Main service areas include Aberdeen, Pinebluff, Southern Pines, Pinehurst, and Whispering Pines, Carthage, Raeford, and Vass. Currently expanding into Sanford & Fayetteville, with potential to expand further. New employees will start on an as needed basis with work hours to increase with demonstration of reliability and quality work ethic.

Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care for pets & farm animals. Duties include but are not limited to feeding, stall cleaning, grooming, blanketing, paddock rotation, and administering medication as needed. Some dog walking and pet sitting care also to be included.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of animals through proper handling and restraint techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for pets and farm animals, including grooming and barn/kennel upkeep.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ or animal’s needs and any concerns.
- Monitor and report any health issues or behavioral changes to pet and farm owners.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Supplemental pay types: Tips & commission based pay bonuses
Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
