Thank you for sponsoring a candidate for Active Membership in American Cinema Editors. ACE is an honorary society of Film Editors in pursuit of excellence within our artistry. We promote mutual respect, and advocacy to support our peers. We endeavor to be ambassadors for our art. Please fill out this agreement.
ACE Sponsorship Requirements & Instructions

Sponsor Eligibility
- Must be an Active Member of ACE in good standing for at least 3 years, OR a Life Member of ACE
- Active and Life Members may only sponsor one candidate per calendar year.
Required Documents

1. Letter of Recommendation (Sponsor Letter)
- Minimum 100 words in length
- Include firsthand knowledge of your experience working directly with the applicant
- Describe how you know them from the workplace
2. Sponsor Verification Form (current form)
- This is the current form you're filling out. Please send a copy once complete to the applicant. A copy of this document will be sent to your email after completion for your records.
Submission Process
- Provide both your Sponsor Letter and signed Sponsor Verification Form directly to the candidate
- The candidate will upload the documents to their application
- The candidate's application is not considered complete until all sponsorship documents have been submitted
