    Course Description:  Indoor Camping authorizes you to take troops camping overnight in winterized buildings.  Learn fire safety (preparation and extinguishing), fire building with girls, foil and stick cooking, safe use of charcoal, general safety precautions, and building cleanup.  

    Prerequisite: Outdoor Basics.  (Look on the GSK website for ways to take this class.) 

    Cost: Cost for this class is $8 for a meal and for course materials.  After you hit "submit" on this registration, you will receive an automated response from Jotform.  The response will include a payment link.  Your registration is NOT complete until you have paid for this class.  

    Certification Renewal:  You can renew certification in one of three ways:

    1. Camp at a GSK property/building once a year to keep certification current, OR
    2. Take Indoor Camping again 5 years after the completion date of this class, OR
    3. Take Outdoor Update.

    Additional Information:  Please bring a mess kit (or dishes), a water bottle, and if  you wish, a comfy chair.  Dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes since you will be around a fire.  The automated response email will also contain a link to electronic resource materials plus how to contact your trainer if you need to cancel.

  • At Indoor Camping, we typically cook a "foil" dinner where each participant makes her own foil packet with contents selected from a "buffet" of items. Foods to choose from include ground hamburger, potatoes, onions, and vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, etc. We also usually have bread of some sort and s'mores (marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate). We choose this meal because most adults can be accommodated with their choice from these food items for their personal foil dinner. To help guide us in shopping for the right amounts, please indicate your food choices/dietary needs below.

  • Participants in this class normally receive hard copy of a number of print resources to use later as references. However, some people prefer to receive electronic copy only. A link to these electronic resources will be in your automated email. Please indicate your preferences below.

  • I understand I must have completed Outdoor Basics before taking this class.
